Although Wayne County residents have enjoyed the monthly "Weenie Roast" at the Fireside Restaurant, R3, Honesdale, for a long time... the "Happy Hour Crew", also known as "The Gang", will be doing something a little different on Thursday, Nov. 21.

Tiny Young, who is a favorite performer at local venues and the Wayne County Fair, has entertained for years at the restaurant on weekends, but also enjoys taking his show to the Weenie Roast gatherings.
Next Thursday, he will donate his time to help a local man. Kenny Horst of Honesdale, PA who is waging a battle against cancer. "The Fireside has graciously provided the place for The Gang's Weenie Roasts.: Mr. Young told The Weekly Almanac on Wednesday, Nov. 13. "They donate the weenies, but the Happy Hour Crew are the ones who are donating the roasts. They really want t help Kenny, and there are so many people who have been supporters for this benefit. The roast will begin at 5 p.m., and runs until 7 p.m. I start playing about 6 p.m., and continue until 9 or 10 p.m., depending on the crowd turnout."
Everyone is welcome to join in the fun, food and music, Tiny Young style.
He said that Mr Horst has been a customer at the dining establishment for more than thirty years, and those who know him, want to help.
"Some of the supporters include many friends, and companies such as Wayne County Ready Mix Concrete Co., Dirlam Brothers Lumber Co., Fritz Brothers Well Drilling and Bill Pykus and Sons Excavating Co. Inc.," said Mr. Young. "These guys have been terrific. The roast is a happy hour time, and the support has been great."
